Notes: The centrifugal clutch 5/8″ needs to be oiled before use.Before ordering please check your crankshaft size.Don’t put oil inside the clutch holes: The holes on the drum are to let the hot air out of the clutch.When oil gets in the drum portion of the clutch it will cause excessive slippage, which means undue heat will be generated. How to Install A New Clutch Remove the outer drive cover. Unscrew the nut at the bottom of the engine mounting plate and loosen the drive chain. Remove the bolts and washers at the end of the drive chain and the engine crankshaft and the clutch on the engine crankshaftAlign the key hole of the clutch with the key groove on the engine crankshaft, slide the new clutch onto the shaft, and fix it to the bolts and washers on the crankshaft. Tighten the bolts.Then install the clutch and drive chain on the drive wheel sprocket (shaft sprocket). Slide the engine forward to tighten the chain, and tighten the nut at the bottom of the engine mounting plate. Reinstall the outer drive cover.
